Dan Eavenson, P.E., QSD/QSP
Profile & Background
Dan is one of two principals of MCR Engineering. He oversees our construction management division, inspection services, and private development engineering departments. He is well respected for his “team-building” approach when working with employees, clients and regulatory agencies. He knows how to build relationships that translate to a good work product and how to get the most out of those that he manages.
Dan spent the first 10 years of his career in the construction industry before joining MCR Engineering. As a superintendent for a major contractor in the central valley, he directed the construction of basically everything we typically design. His knowledge of the construction process has proved to be invaluable to our engineers and designers. He places great emphasis on preparing improvement plans that are “build-able” and complete.
Woodward Avenue Sewer & Storm Drain Trunk Lines, Manteca, CA - Dan provided construction management and inspection services for the City of Manteca for this $10 Million project that includes 2.5 miles of 54” Storm Drain line and 36” Sanitary Sewer trunk line, and full reconstruction of Woodward Avenue. He provided all inspection services, scheduled and reviewed all soils testing, and oversaw the weekly construction management meetings that are so critical to the success of the project. He was the liaison between the City and the contractor to keep the project on schedule, approve field modifications and resolve disputes.
South San Joaquin Irrigation District, Manteca, CA – Dan works closely with SSJID’s Engineering Management to oversee their annual capital improvement projects each year. He has managed the design and construction schedule and oversees the surveying, design, and construction of over $5 Million in irrigation facilities improvements annually, including pipeline replacements, canal linings, distribution box replacements, and other improvements. Dan earned the trust and respect of the District management, board, and staff by providing consistent service, sound engineering advice and intimate knowledge of construction practices.
Manteca Unified School District, Manteca, CA - Dan has been providing on-going engineering consulting, construction management and inspection services for MUSD for the last eighteen years. In addition to designing virtually all the schools that the District has built in the last ten years, Dan also provides on-going consulting services to the District on maintenance projects, including pavement rehabilitation, athletic facilities upgrades and other site-related improvements, providing them with sound advice on how to stretch their maintenance dollars to preserve their pavement and infrastructure at various school sites.
RD 2064, Manteca, CA - Dan has acted as the district engineer for RD 2064 over the past 5 years providing on-going engineering consulting, construction management and inspection services. In addition to his typical duties as the district engineer, Dan also was instrumental in the 2017 flood events actively managing emergency operations and inspections.
