City Engineer, Waterford, Hughson & Isleton
We have been the contract city engineer for the City of Waterford since 1997. In the past few years we have also been hired by Hughson and Isleton to represent them as well. We provide all typical city engineer functions for these three cities, including design of all capital improvement projects, plan review and public works inspection for development projects etc. We also work with the local Councils of Government and Caltrans Local Assistance to secure and administer federal and state funds for many of their capital improvement projects.
Woodward Avenue Sewer & Storm Drain, Manteca, California
We provided the surveying and civil engineering design for this $10 Million capital improvement project for the City of Manteca. The project consists of over two miles of underground piping and roadway improvements, including 42-inch gravity sanitary sewer, 54-inch storm drain, 48-inch irrigation and 12" water transmission piping. The project is currently out to bid and expected to go to construction this summer.
Sewer Collection System Rehabilitation, Isleton, California
This project consisted of replacing and or lining most of the existing sewer collection system in the City of Isleton. Surrounded by a series of slough systems that connect toe the Delta, the city of Isleton is within the 100 year flood plain and has a groundwater table that is only a few feet below the ground surface. The pipes in their sewer collection system had exceeded their useful life and the city were subjected to significant inflow and infiltration. This project included the replacement of some of the piping and cured-in-place lining of the rest of the lines.
State Route 132 & F Street Signal, Waterford, California
This project consisted of replacing a four-way stop sign with a full functioning traffic signal system, with poles placed in their ultimate location (to accommodate widening of Highway 132 in the future), along with intersection improvements, including storm drainage improvements, pavement widening, curb returns with pedestrian ramps, and new left turn lanes in each direction. It also required the dedication of right-of-way from one of the fronting properties and an encroachment permit with Caltrans.
State Route 108 (Crane to Wilow Wood), Oakdale, California
State Route 108 is the main entrance to Oakdale from Modesto. This project consisted of widening approximately 1.5 miles of roadway (from Crane to Willow Wood) from a rural, two-lane facility to a full 4 lane facility. Our design included complete frontage improvements (curb, gutter, sidewalk and landscaping), two traffic signals and all channelization and transition lanes.
