Planning & Entitlements

Recognizing the need for buildable, and affordable solutions to land development opportunities, we like to take an active role in the Planning and Entitlement phase of our clients’ projects. We pride ourselves on finding innovative solutions that provide for the traffic circulation, water, sewer and storm drain needs without compromising the quality of the project and the sense of community.

Engineering & Design

Our capable and well-trained staff is equipped with the best design tools available in the industry. We have ample experience in subdivision improvement plans, commercial and industrial site improvements, municipal projects and schools, We believe that a good engineer is a well-rounded engineer with a wide range of experience and knowledge to offer his clients, so we try not to “pigeon hole” our employees into doing only one specific function or one particular type of project over and over.

Surveying, Inspection & Construction Management

Surveying is a vital component of the design and construction process. Consequently, MCR Engineering’s survey department has been formed specifically to meet the needs of the design team and contractor for each individual project. From the shop drawing review to field inspection services, we have the technical skills and personnel necessary to assist our clients through the construction phase of each project we design.

Tony Marshall

As the original "M" in MCR, our firm wouldn't be where it is today without Tony. As founder and president of the company for 22 years, Tony had a hand in just about every project that MCR worked on.

He was noted for his people skills and ability to reach consensus with clients, the public, and members of the design team with diverse views on complex issues. He had a unique ability to take complex engineering problems and explain them in simple and easy to understand ways.

Our firm is grounded in the roots and philosophy of our late founder. No one ever worked "for Tony", we worked "with Tony" and this is a philosophy that we try to carry over today to all of our clients and employees.

Tragically, Tony left us in a car accident in January of 2019. Tony was an invaluable member of any team and cannot be replaced. He will forever be missed.

MCR Engineering, Inc. is a civil engineering and surveying firm that specializes in land development, master planning, surveying, underground utility, water resource design, and construction administration. MCR Engineering was founded in 1997 in Manteca, California. We opened our doors with two main objectives in mind; Providing excellent service by maintaining a focus on the essential things that make our client’s projects successful, and building lasting relationships with our clients that are rooted in professionalism, trust, and mutual respect.

Today, we are still grounded in the same values passed on by Tony Marshall. Over a third of our employees are seasoned, licensed professionals and our clients keep coming back time after time. We are committed to the long term interests of our clients and in shaping the growth of the central valley.
